For Many, The Grand Canyon Is For Visiting — For Some, It's Home

Grand Canyon National Park has been observing its centennial this week, but there are people who have known the canyon as a home for much longer than a century.

"It was a big playground for me," said Carletta Tilousi. "My family had a lot of animals and horses, and we really had a really good time just riding horses and swimming in the waterfalls and those are my fondest memories of growing up in Supai Village."

Carletta Tilousi is a member of the Havasupai Tribal Council, and grew up inside the Grand Canyon. She joined The Show to talk about her experiences.
