"Welcome to Night Vale" began in 2012 when a pair of friends decided they wanted to tell stories that their friends would enjoy. And their creation attracted a passionate following as podcast listeners became determined to learn as much as they could about the not-quite real, not-quite normal desert locale, Night Vale.
The Van Buren in Phoenix is hosting a live performance of the show called " A Spy in the Desert" on Friday night at 8 p.m.
"Welcome to Night Vale" was co-created by Joseph Fink, and The Show spoke to him about the podcast and performance.
