Reaching Zero Waste: What Are The Challenges Ahead For Phoenix?

Phoenix has a goal to divert 40 percent of its waste from landfills by 2020 and to create zero waste by 2050.

The city has been steadily working towards those goals, announcing it was diverting 30 percent of its waste in late 2017. But what challenges remain in Phoenix, or any other city, trying to get to zero waste?

To talk about this, Raj Buch, sustainability practice lead at ASU, joined The Show.
