Colorado Professor Examines Global Water Woes In New Book

Recently, Arizona has been focused on a Drought Contingency Plan and how to maintain enough water from the Colorado River and other sources to keep up with the state's growth. But concerns about water shortages are definitely not limited to the United States.

Places like Rome, Italy, and Cape Town, South Africa, have faced dramatic scarcity recently, and the problem only seems to be growing worldwide.

In his new book " The Water Paradox: Overcoming the Global Crisis in Water Management," Edward Barbier, a Colorado State University economics professor, explored changes that should be made to alleviate the exponentially worsening crisis.

He joined The Show to talk about it.
