'War Is A Racket:' Journalist Holds Presentation On One Of America's Most Decorated Marines

U.S. foreign policy can change dramatically from administration to administration. There were modifications from the early 20th century to the nation’s decision to enter World War II. One person who witnessed — and took part in a lot of it — is Smedley Butler.

The name may be unfamiliar to you, but he took part in the Spanish-American War and World War I and, when he died in 1940, was the most decorated marine in U.S. history.

Butler is the subject of a presentation from journalist Jonathan M. Katz on Thursday night as part of ASU’s Center on the Future of War.

Katz is an author and Future of War fellow at New America and the presentation is called " Who Was Smedley Butler? Rise (and Fall?) of American Empire."

Katz joined The Show to talk about it.
