If President Donald Trump’s emergency order goes forward, money earmarked for military projects might be on the chopping block.
On Tuesday, the Pentagon released a list of potential cuts, including $148 million worth of upgrades and construction at four Arizona bases, affecting the Navy, Air Force, Army and Army National Guard.
The cuts would also, in particular, leave a $30 million project at Fort Huachuca in jeopardy.
Sen. Martha McSally said she is working to keep Fort Huachuca’s project “off any chopping block and will fight tooth and nail to backfill if needed.”
But Arizona isn’t the only state on the list, and the White House is eyeing possible cuts all across the country.
To talk about that, Hope Hodge Seck, a reporter at Military.com, joined The Show.
