In especially violent war zones around the world, women are attacked and raped and often have children as a result of those sexual assaults. U.S. foreign policy can affect humanitarian efforts related to that, at times, based on how much financial assistance America provides.
Jill Filipovic has done extensive reporting on that subject and is in the Phoenix metro area Thursday as part of ASU’s Center on the Future of War speakers series. Her presentation is titled " Abortion Wars: Sexual Violence, Reproductive Rights and U.S. Foreign Policy in Conflict and Crisis Zones."
She joined The Show to discuss her reporting.
