Controversial Minimum Wage Bill Back Up For Debate At Arizona Capitol

The Arizona Senate could yet debate a proposal that would allow employers to pay younger workers less than the minimum wage.

The Senate Rules Committee, which is tasked with determining if bills are constitutional, held the bill last week amid questions about its constitutionality. Attorney General Mark Brnovich has since weighed in, saying the bill would require a three-quarters vote, since it’d be amending a voter-approved law.

The bill is back on the agenda of the Rules Committee on Monday afternoon and, for a weekly look at what’s to come at the Arizona Legislature, Katie Campbell of the Arizona Capitol Times, joined The Show.
