Arizona Businesses Navigate Uncertainty In 3 Of State's Top 4 International Trade Partners

Supported by Beach Fleischman

The U.S. Census Bureau says, in 2017, Arizona’s exports totaled nearly $21 billion. Of that, $7.5 billion was with Mexico, followed by Canada, China and the United Kingdom.

But there is now economic uncertainty with three of those countries: Mexico, China and the United Kingdom.

To talk through how Arizona businesses are trying to work through that and what the economic implications may be, The Show spoke with Mike Huckins, vice president of public affairs for the Greater Phoenix Chamber of Commerce and Jim Rounds, an economist and president of Rounds Consulting.

Mark Brodie is a co-host of The Show, KJZZ’s locally produced news magazine. Since starting at KJZZ in 2002, Brodie has been a host, reporter and producer, including several years covering the Arizona Legislature, based at the Capitol.
