Kingman Police Have Deployed Narcan 6 Times Since Equipping Officers With Overdose-Reversal Drug

In 2016, the Kingman Police Department became the first in the state to equip its officers with Narcan — that’s the brand name for the drug naloxone — which can save the life of someone overdosing on a narcotic.

The goal was to help residents struggling with opioids and, since then, many more police departments across the state have also started carrying the drug.

To talk more about this, The Show reached out to Rusty Cooper, the deputy police chief for the Kingman Police Department.
