Maria Harper-Marinick, chancellor of the Maricopa County Community College District, is facing a vote of no confidence. That effort is being led by the colleges’ faculty association — with members in the process of casting votes among each of the 10 colleges’ faculty senates.
The association’s concerns include the chancellor’s lack of communication as it relates to controversial decisions made by the district’s governing board when it was led by former President Laurin Hendrix.
The Show was joined by John Schampel, president of the colleges’ faculty association.
For another perspective on the no-confidence vote, The Show also spoke with Linda Thor, president of the Maricopa Community College District Governing Board.
