How Do Our Brains Grasp The Concept Of Metaphors?

This next conversation may include concepts that are difficult to grasp, and for some listeners, may be rough. Not literally, though — just metaphorically.

New research is looking into how our brains understand and interpret metaphors.

Vicky Lai has been working on this. She is an assistant professor in the Cognitive Science Program in the University of Arizona’s psychology department, and she joined The Show to talk about her research.
