Earlier this month, abortion-related restrictions in Arizona were targeted in a lawsuit by Planned Parenthood of Arizona.
The defendants named were the Arizona Attorney General’s Office, the Department of Health Services, the Medical Board and the Board of Nursing.
On Tuesday, the Arizona Senate’s GOP leadership issued a statement criticizing Planned Parenthood, arguing the organization is “asking the courts to give them a legal business boost because they need more individuals to perform abortions in Arizona.”
The Show spoke with Dustin Gardiner of the Arizona Republic about the lawsuit and reactions to it.
