Prior to his reelection to a fifth term as Arizona’s U.S. representative from the 6th Congressional District in Phoenix, Scottsdale and Fountain Hills, Congressman David Schweikert was under investigation by the House Ethics Committee.
The probe focused on allegations related to the misspending of official funds and contributions involving his now-former chief of staff. Last December, the ethics investigation expanded and carried over into the new congressional term.
