The Arizona House of Representatives was scheduled on Thursday to vote on a few bills dealing with texting while driving.

One is a general ban on using hand-held cell phones, except when drivers are parked or at a stop light or railroad crossing. Another bill deals more broadly with distracted driving.

State Rep. Noel Campbell, a Prescott Republican, is the sponsor of the bill to ban texting while driving. The Show spoke with him about the legislation.
