Phoenix City Council Approves Central Station Development, Critics Worry About Lack Of Affordable Workforce Housing

The Phoenix City Council this week narrowly approved a more than $230 million development project at Central Station between Central Avenue and First Avenue and between Van Buren Street and Polk Street.

The project will include retail, restaurants, office space, a hotel and housing. But some critics have complained the housing options do not include enough affordable and workforce housing.

With The Show to talk more about the project was Christine Mackay, director of community and economic development for the City of Phoenix.
