This New Mapping Project Tracks Supply Chains Across The U.S.

Do you know where your food comes from? How about your electricity or your electronics? A new project from the FEWSION Project at Northern Arizona University aims to let you know how any number of products get to you.

The researchers have put together a map of all the goods and services and flows of commodities in the U.S., looking to shine a light on what are often invisible supply chains. The map went live on Monday.

To talk more about it, The Show was joined by two of the people who worked on it: Ben Ruddell, an associate professor in NAU’s School of Informatics, Computing and Cyber systems and lead investigator on the FEWSION Project, and Richard Rushforth, an assistant research professor at the school and a research scientist on the project.
