What Is Mexico's Own Southern Border Policy?

Arizona Gov. Doug Ducey has called for more focus on Mexico's own southern border to better understand what's happening in the U.S.

"We talk a lot about our southern border here in Arizona," he said. "I'd like to help shift the discussion so we're talking more about Mexico's southern border — the crisis, humanitarian and otherwise, that's happening in South America and Central America — at the border.''

So what is Mexico’s current policy on mitigating illegal immigration on its border?

For more on that, The Show spoke with Tony Payan, director of the Mexico Center at the Baker Institute at Rice University.
