It’s dangerous to be a boy. That’s the stark conclusion author Michael Reichert has come to after studying modern boyhood for his new book "How to Raise a Boy: The Power of Connection to Raise Good Men."
Reichert says boys smoke more, fight more and are more likely to die young than girls, and this violence springs from the destructive messages they receive about what it means to “be a man.”
Reichert spoke to The Show about it and he pointed out one particular study that really struck him.
The study showed over 30 percent of college-age men said they would force a woman to have sex with them if they weren’t afraid of getting caught.
