U.S. Unemployment Rate Is Now The Lowest Since 1968

The market was anticipating 190,000 new jobs from the Labor Department’s unemployment report — but today it got even better news.

There were 263,000 new hires for April, and the unemployment rate is now the lowest since 1968.

Of course, the details in these reports matter, so to drill down on those, The Show was joined by Mark Hamrick, senior economic analyst for Bankrate, a consumer financial services company.
