Orthopedic Surgeon Moves To Treat E-Sport Gaming Injuries

When we think of defining traditional athletes, team sports like basketball and football are mentioned along with individual sports like running and swimming. But along with those classic sports, there has been an ongoing debate about whether golfers or race car drivers also fit the definition of athlete. That debate has also recently started including e-sports gamers.

How could sitting in a chair and looking at a screen be seen as athletic? For a lot of people, it couldn’t.

But orthopedic surgeon Dr. Vonda Wright is moving to treat e-sport injuries in her practice, and she joined The Show to talk about what it’ll be like.
