Expect Delays On I-40 Near Kingman This Week

Travelers heading through Kingman to or from Las Vegas this week may want to go by daylight.

The Arizona Department of Transportation said it will have crews working this week on a 13-mile stretch of Interstate 40 near Kingman.

Ryan Harding with ADOT said construction will happen Tuesday and Wednesday as crews lay new pavement.

"They're going to close the I-40 west bound Beal Street traffic interchange," he said, "And, east bound I-40 is going to be narrowed to one lane at several locations starting at Harrison Street all the way over to the east of Blake Ranch traffic interchange."

Harding said there will be warning signs posted as construction begins each night at six o'clock and ends at five the next morning.
