Tempe Police Officer Who Shot 14-Year-Old Resigns

In January, a 14-year-old teen was shot by a Tempe police officer Joseph Jaen. The teen’s name was Antonio Arce.

Now the Tempe Police Department has announced that Officer Jaen has resigned. According to a statement by the Tempe Police Department, the resignation is separate from the criminal review of the shooting of Arce.

To talk about the case, The Show reached out to Bree Burkitt, the Arizona Republic’s public safety reporter.
