The Grand Canyon attracts millions of visitors from around the world, and, according to a report from the National Park Service, visitors bring their wallet.
The report from the Park Service shows visitor spending in the Grand Canyon ranked fourth in the country in 2018 at $947 million. That was $280 million more than the year before.
The report shows the majority of spending was on hotels, recreation industries and restaurants.
The park drew 125,000 more people than the previous year, and rising costs and entrance fees also contributed to the higher spending. The report showed that more than 3,000 additional jobs were created in the park.
