Phoenix is the fastest growing city in the country; 2018 marked the third-straight year that was the case.

According to U.S. Census data, more than 25,000 people moved to Phoenix last year, putting it ahead of the next-fastest growing cities: San Antonio, Fort Worth and Seattle.

Anubhav Bagley, regional analytics director with the Maricopa Association of Governments, told The Show that job seekers are driving the boom.

"I think the retirement side is overall slowly declining. We may be pricing out on that side," Bagley said. "But from the economic migration, people moving here for new jobs, I think that’s the one that’s increasing."

In addition, Buckeye was the fastest-growing American city last year by percentage.
