The battle over flight noise from Phoenix Sky Harbor International Airport continues — now in Scottsdale.
Last week, the Scottsdale City Council unanimously voted to authorize the mayor to submit comments and recommendations to the Federal Aviation Administration, which controls flight paths out of Sky Harbor.
Last month, the FAA held a series of workshops to address the questions and concerns about jet noise that still plague parts of the Valley. Those came as part of the settlement of a lawsuit between the FAA and several historic neighborhoods in Phoenix who sued over flight path changes made in 2014.
The Show spoke with Ian Gregor with the FAA about the issues and where things stand now after these public meetings.
