Gov. Doug Ducey on Tuesday signed an executive order that creates a task force to review Arizona’s laws on how well they protect children against sexual abuse.
The move comes after the Legislature passed a bill giving more time for victims to come forward with lawsuits against alleged perpetrators.
“I think you want to have a coalition of people that have been affected by this and then people from law enforcement from the courts, people that can help us put together the right task force, so we can address what’s left yet to be done,” Ducey said.
The task force will present its findings to Ducey by Dec. 1.
