Big ones including how much funding education will receive and who will get tax breaks, but also in this session, the legislation passed bills that may affect you more on the small scale — the everyday laws.
For instance, if you plan to make a new kung fu movie, you’re in luck! It’s now legal to possess nunchucks in Arizona.
Also, if you’re on the go, make sure to not text and drive, since that became illegal this session. But if you need to scarf down your lunch or put on a dab of makeup, it's not technically illegal since Gov. Ducey did not vote to broaden the ban.
If you plan to rent out your place for spring training next year or to a family of golfers this summer, make sure you report it to your local officials so that they can get in touch if your guests are noisy and so they can collect taxes on your Airbnb.
Last on this list of notable changes, Arizona lawmakers voided a bill to allow cities to charge a tax to create and operate a municipal band.
