Meghan McCain has responded to reports that a military ship with her father’s name on it was moved out of sight of President Donald Trump during his visit to Japan.
Speaking on "The View" on Thursday, McCain says the ongoing feud between Trump and her late father has been hard on her and her family.
“It’s impossible to go through the grief process when my father has been dead 10 months and is constantly in the news cycle," McCain said, "because the president is so obsessed with the fact that he’s never going to be a great man like he was.”
McCain acknowledged that the request from the White House to move a ship and sailors put the troops in a difficult spot. She asked the president to show more compassion.
