For two years, "Frontline" producer Lauren Mucciolo embedded with the Phoenix Police Department’s Vice Enforcement Unit as they work to tackle a growing problem for her new documentary, " Sex Trafficking in America."
The experience left her with newfound awareness of the scope of the hidden industry, and just how easy it can be for young girls to get pulled into it through social media’s influence.
The Show spoke with Mucciolo about making the film and why she chose to focus on Phoenix.
