Several Dozen Arizona Bills Await Action From Ducey Before Saturday's Deadline

The legislative session ended in the early hours of Memorial Day, but more than 40 bills still await action by Gov. Doug Ducey by Saturday after he signed seven on Thursday.

Some of those that remain could be pretty significant, even controversial.

One bill would increase the per diem amount lawmakers receive while in session. Another would restrict paying people to collect signatures for citizen initiatives.

A third bill would approve using state dollars to continue letting Navajo children attend a private Christian school.

If Ducey takes no action, the bills automatically become law.

To check up on this, Howard Fischer of Capitol Media Services joined The Show.
