'Burnout' Recognized By The World Health Organization

A lot of us have complained that we are “burned out” at work — but now, it’s an official diagnosis.

The World Health Organization recently made “burnout” an official entry in its International Classification of Diseases handbook, which helps medical providers diagnose diseases and conditions.

It’s not a medical condition, but instead an “occupational phenomenon,” according to the WHO.

Jaime Vinck is the CEO of Sierra Tucson, the addiction treatment center near Mount Lemmon. She joined The Show to talk about how this changes the game, not just for patients, but for medical providers.
