The National Police Foundation released a report on 2018 officer involved shootings in Phoenix.

Phoenix Mayor Kate Gallego, Police Chief Jeri Williams and other city leaders will hear from residents Tuesday night at a community meeting in the wake of a police video that recently went viral.

The video shows a standoff following shoplifting allegations against a Phoenix family. The mayor has called the actions by officers on the scene “ completely inappropriate and clearly unprofessional.”

To talk about the meeting, The Show reached out to Viri Hernandez, director of the advocacy group Poder in Action.
