Congress Approves Funding For Health Services For Unaccompanied Migrant Children

The week began with a series of tweets by President Trump declaring that — starting next week — Immigration and Customs Enforcement would deport millions of undocumented immigrants.

Just a couple of days later, the Senate Appropriations Committee voted almost unanimously, and in bipartisan fashion, for a more than $4.5 billion package that would — among other things — help fund the Health and Human Services program for caring for unaccompanied children.

Can that be characterized as significant progress? Does it contradict the President’s comments?

To talk about that, The Show reached out to Ted Hesson, who covers immigration for Politico.
