The Woodbury Fire is currently spread over 100 square miles and is 34 percent contained.
Incident officials in charge of reining in the blaze held a community meeting at Miami High School on Friday night to discuss their progress.
Operations chief Todd Abel said there is not a set timeline for fully containing the fire burning near Superior.
“Steep terrain, thick brush all that stuff, we’re letting it work its way out and as soon as it gets to a spot where we can manage it, that’s why it’s tough for me to give you three days, five days, a week," Abel said.
There are just under 1,200 personnel on scene for containment efforts. Officials have determined the fire was human-caused but are still trying to determine specific details.
As of Saturday morning, the fire had burned about 80,000 acres. The cause of the blaze is not yet known.
