It may only be July, but school is about to start in some districts around the state.
Wickenburg School District, just northwest of the Valley, starts July 29. This year, Wickenburg is rolling out a new, 4-day school week.
It was one way Superintendent Howard Carlson said they worked to attract new teachers to the rural town this year as a statewide teacher shortage persists and education funding remains a challenge.
The Show spoke to Carlson about the district's challenges.
