Number Of Registered Arizona Voters Up By Nearly 50,000

The number of Arizona voters is up by nearly 50,000 from April to July of this year.

The Secretary of State’s Office released its latest voter report earlier this week. The report also found that the number of inactive voters has dropped. Secretary of State Katie Hobbs explains why that could be.

"It could be folks who are going through motor vehicles. There’s some improvement in the process through motor vehicles in terms of when people update their address there," Hobbs said.

Inactive voters can still vote, but they do need to update their registration information.

Republicans make up the largest percentage of active registered voters. Independents are a close second.
