Phoenix-Based Fox Restaurant Concepts Sold To Cheesecake Factory

Big news in the restaurant industry today. Phoenix-based Fox Restaurant Concepts has been sold to the Cheesecake Factory.

The deal includes $308 million in cash at closing but,  according to The Arizona Republic, founder Sam Fox will continue to lead the company from the Henry restaurant in Phoenix.

Fox Restaurant Concepts runs several locations across the metro area including the Arrogant Butcher, Culinary Dropout and Zinburger.

The Cheesecake Factory had previously invested in two of the Fox brands.

What does this mean for the local restaurant scene? For that, The Show turned to retired Arizona restaurant critic Howard Seftel.
