The New Bureau Of Land Management Director Criticized For Supporting Selling Public Land

As of this week, the Bureau of Land Management (BLM) has a new acting director, and environmental groups are outspoken in their disappointment and concern.

William Perry Pendley is an attorney who has supported selling public lands in the Unites States. This comes on the heels of a letter from the Interior Department which states that other changes could be coming to the BLM, including a move of its headquarters from Washington, D.C. to Grand Junction, Colorado.

To talk about the BLM’s new acting director and his potential impact, The Show spoke with Martin Nie, director of the Bolle Center for People and Forests at the University of Montana.
