It’s First Friday in Phoenix and that means the downtown galleries will be open late and showing new pieces from contemporary artists.
Caitlin Matekel, a Ph.D. student studying criminology at Arizona State University, created a show featuring artists from the state prison in Florence through her work with the Center for Correctional Solutions.
“I nkcarcerated: Creativity Within Confinement” will be held from 6 to 10 p.m. Friday at the A.E. England Building at ASU’s Downtown Phoenix campus.
