Expert: AZ Aviation Industry in Good Shape Despite Drop In Ranking

A new analysis ranks Arizona ninth in attractiveness to the aerospace industry, which is a drop from the last couple of years.

The consulting firm, PricewaterhouseCoopers or PwC, gives the state good marks in areas of tax policy and industry, including the size and growth of the industry. But Arizona does less well in terms of the labor force, education and some economic factors.

Jakob Funkenstein, though, has some questions about the survey’s methodology, saying some items have changed from previous versions, making comparisons difficult.

Funkenstein is chair of the Aviation Business Administration Program at Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University in Prescott. He joined The Show to talk about the report.
