Planned Parenthood said it will withdraw from Title X, the federal program that administers millions of dollars for contraceptives and other family planning services that largely goes to low-income people across the country.
The decision comes in the wake of a "gag rule" that could interfere with the doctor-patient relationship. The rule bars organizations receiving Title X funds from providing abortions or referrals to other abortion providers except in limited cases, like rape or incest.
The rule was challenged in court — and legal challenges could continue as the rule takes effect. But what happens now?
