Tucson Democrats Choose Regina Romero To Run For Mayor

Tucson Democrats selected Regina Romero as their choice to run for mayor in the November election. She beat two other challengers, including former state Sen. Steve Farley. The city councilwoman will face independent candidate Ed Ackerley in the upcoming vote. No Republicans are running.

This fall, Tucsonans will also vote on a ballot proposition aimed at preventing Tucson police from enforcing immigration law.

To talk about the significance of Tuesday night’s results and preview the November election, The Show spoke to Jim Nintzel, executive editor of Tucson Weekly and Tucson Local Media.
