U.S. Labor Department Looks To Expand Religious Exemptions For Federal Contractors

Religious freedom and religion-related exemptions have become more high-profile topics since President Donald Trump took office in 2017.

Last week, the spotlight was shining on a new Labor Department move to expand religious exemptions for federal contractors. A Labor Department statement said it aims to “provide the broadest protection of religious exercise recognized by the Constitution and other laws.”

But some are concerned that additional discrimination will be the result.

To help clarify this development and what it could mean in the near future, The Show reached out to Employment Law Attorney Julie Pace.
