AG Brnovich Joins Multi-State Antitrust Investigation Of Google

Arizona is joining a multi-state investigation into Google’s business practices. Attorneys General from 48 states, Washington D.C. and Puerto Rico will determine if the company is using its position in the market to get rid of competition.

Arizona Attorney General Mark Brnovich has joined that committee. He said they’re trying to maintain an online ecosystem that benefits consumers.

“We’re gonna look into what they’re doing, what kind of information they’re collecting, what they’re doing as far as you know our search engines and what kind of results we’re getting," Brnovich said.

Legal experts from each state will work with federal authorities to assess competitive conditions and make sure there’s access to open digital markets.
