Phoenix might be better known for Mill Avenue’s jangle pop, or maybe great mariachi music, but Serbian brass music? Not so much. A new Phoenix event, however, is looking to change that.
Friday night is the first Phoenix Unknown festival at the Van Buren downtown.
It features a dozen bands and over 30 food vendors from all over the world showcasing the more unknown cultures of Phoenix.
The Show spoke with some of these bands and event organizers to learn more.
