ADOT Seeking Public Comment On Arizona State Route 87 Improvements

Amid attempts to improve a stretch of State Route 87 between Fountain Hills and Payson, the Arizona Department of Transportation is using a survey to decide how to do it.

ADOT’s Ryan Harding said the survey will help the agency identify what frequent users of the road think will make it safer and easier to travel.

“We’re just, like I said, we’re looking at a wide range of potential improvements and this kind of study and the feedback from the public can help us prioritize the needs so then we can start looking at funding down the road," Harding said.

This isn’t the first time ADOT has used a survey to get public comment. The budget for these improvements will be calculated after they are decided.

The survey is available online until the end of the month.
