There Are 418 U.S. National Parks. This Former Engineer Visited All Of Them

U.S. national parks are some of the most remarkable places in the country.

From Grand Canyon National Park here in Arizona to Yellowstone or Yosemite, there are a lot of them we all know and love, but there are also hundreds that are lesser known — but no less interesting.

After a 25-year career in the biotechnology sector, David Kroese changed paths and became one of a very small number of people who have visited all 418 National Park Service units in the country. And he wrote a book about it.

It’s called " The Centennial: A Journey Through America's National Park System," and he spoke with The Show about his journey.
