Mainstream trendsetters in men’s fashion tend to be the people seen on screens, both big and small.
Names from the 20th century include Cary Grant, James Dean and Marlon Brando. Another who has claimed the fashion icon mantle was the focus of praise two nights ago at the Primetime Emmy Awards ceremony. That is actor Billy Porter of FX’s "Pose," who's known for pushing the envelope.
So where can men look for fashion influences these days? And how much effort should men be putting into that?
To talk about that, The Show spoke with Mark-Evan Blackman, professor at the Fashion Institute of Technology in New York City.
