Theater companies around the country, including Arizona Theatre Company, are increasing efforts to produce more diverse plays.
Diversity means a number of things — from racial background to age to a range of ideas — in order to serve a broader audience.
As part of that, Arizona Theatre Company has named the latest winner of its National Latino Playwriting Award: Yale University master's candidate Benjamin Benne, who is being honored for his play “Alma.”
Benne joined The Show to talk about his work.
